Approaching the third death Anniversary of slain leader Shahbaz Bhatti as March 02, 2014 draws nearer, Salma Peter John shatters her silence, “Cammy was me and I was Cammy,” so she says. Cammy was Shahbaz Bhatti’s nickname from his name, Clement Shahbaz Bhatti.
Both Salma and Shahbaz worked tirelessly to see the sprouting of the largest political party of Pakistani Christians, formerly Christian Liberation Front (CLF) and later All Pakistan Minorities Alliance (APMA), grow in all four provinces. Their three-directional-love for persecuted Christians, for each other and for Cammy’s traditional father was constantly at odds with each other. Federal Minority Minister Shahbaz Bhatti, was gunned down on March 2, 2011 in front of his I-8/3 house in Islamabad by Taliban. Watch this heart-wrenching video for details: https://vimeo.com/87746794
